This have annoyed me about loads of native apps for years. There are no progress indicators or spinners in most apps. It used to be better when iOS had a global spinner in the top back in the day.

Things may have been instant when the feature was made, but it might take longer for some users; either because of older hardware, slower connections or way more data; or even if they’re located far from where your cloud infrastructure is located.

We’ve done this in web apps since like forever. Show that something is happened. It could be a spinner or even just disabling the button when it is clicked.
