X-Pro 2

2021-11-04 16:42

My X-Pro 2 is broken after 4.5 years of faithful service. And my first thought was to replace it with either a X100 or another X-Pro. But I decided to take a proper look on all the Fujifilm cameras just to make sure. And turns out: there are three options that fit my requirements: view finder, water sealed and made by Fujifilm.

  • X-T4
  • X-Pro3
  • X100v

But the X-T is out the window since it is mostly the same as the X-Pro except that I prefer the X-Pro. Not sure what to get though. The best option in general is to get the X-Pro but the smaller size of the X100v would be very practical when I’m with my daughter. And the 22mm lens it has plus the tele conversion kit would cover like 95% of what I use over a year.

Sean Connery is dead. This reminds me of when I a few years ago tried to re-watch some of the 60s and 70s James Bond movies and just had to stop it because of how rapey they are.

A really weird issue

2021-11-02 19:48

This is probably the weirdest macOS issue I have ever had. At some point on my personal MacBook Escape. Yup, still rocking one of those terrible bad boys from 2016.

That Apple have had to replace all the internals of twice. I guess they’ve lost money on me on that one.

Here is the issue: in some apps lines the current like got duplicated when I git the up arrow. After a lot of head scratching, cussing and frustration I discovered the problem by looking over everything in the keyboard settings. Turns out I had mapped the Convert to traditional Chinese” service to up arrow.

Every time I watch anything Star Trek with the TOS crew: Spock is perfectly reasonable and Bones is a fucking hothead
